Initiative of a young commerce graduate having the vision and drive to do something different in print-publishing, in the times marred by recession and threatened by hypertrophic growth in electronic media, has borne fruit.
His family, associated with pre-press technical functions of colour separation and matrix preparation for almost 60 years, had stood witness to various technical revolutions that changed the industry through decades.
It was fourteen years back, the idea struck and some manuscript copyrights were acquired for a start. Books were well received in the Universities and Institutions and Dominant Publishers and Distributors was incorporated.
Since then it has been no looking back. Dominant decided to move general books of scholarly interests on hitherto untouched topics and writers/editors from all parts of the world were contacted to develop manuscripts. Working towards the goal of publishing meaningful literature dominant expanded and gradually crossed the mark of 1500 books in the year 2012.
In 2012, plans were chalked out to have a full section of paperback editions for university and college students with a new design and vision; hence project Dominant Neo-Textbooks was launched in August 2012. Going ahead in full swing, the project has since published over 18 books on different subjects.
Now dominant publishers and distributors have four fully developed sections to accomplish various publishing functions manned by competent staffers and assisted by efficient free-lancers
